Crafted in the woods, shaped by travel—music that tells its own story

Lone Cricket is the musical project of a recording artist blending ambient soundscapes with global rhythms and emotionally resonant songwriting. His debut album, crafted largely in an off-grid studio in the woods, weaves atmospheric textures with electronic percussion, cinematic guitar, and layered instrumentation. Now leaning more into solo guitar, vocals, and world percussion, his evolving sound draws from the pulse of Cumbia, the intricacy of West African and Middle Eastern traditions, and a raw, expressive guitar style shaped by modern fingerstyle and early 2000s indie. The result is music that moves between introspection and energy—balancing stillness and movement, memory and immediacy, in a deeply immersive sonic journey

A quiet moment captured in Gubbio, Italy—this live recording of "Piano Piano," a track from my debut album, was filmed in a friend's home in this beautiful town. Written for nylon string guitar, the piece begins with a classical-inspired intro before settling into a gentle chord progression and soft, intimate vocals

A live performance of "For a Time Being," an evolving piece that begins with a delicate fingerpicked guitar progression. Layered with looping modular synth textures and guitar pedals, the music gradually builds into a lush ambient soundscape. The piece crescendos with a fast, rhythmic drum and bass pattern played on the Nord Drum 3p, creating a beautiful fusion of intricate fingerstyle and dynamic electronic beats

Originally an extended ambient exploration, "Anisocoria" began as a live piece where I layered the signature guitar part with ambient textures while simultaneously playing both a traditional drum kit and electronic drums on the Nord Drum 3p. This evolved into the shorter, vocal-driven track featured on my album, offering a more concise but still evocative interpretation of the same core musical ideas
